The Santo Domingo Basketball Shootout

August 25 through August 31, 2010.

The Santo Domingo Basketball Shoot-Out has taken place in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic for the last nine years. The tournament takes place every summer and features teams from the USA, Dominican Republic, Venezuela, and invited teams from Puerto Rico and Mexico. The ages for boys and girls are as follows: 10 & under, 12 & under, 14 & under, 16 & under, 18 & under, and an open age group.

The competition is outstanding! A basketball clinic run by American and Dominican coaches is put together just for our kids during one of the eight days of our tournament.

While sports might be on the minds of the youths participating in tournaments in the Dominican Republic, there are also opportunities for sightseeing around historic and natural landmarks around Santo Domingo.
