The Santo Domingo Softball Series

In the Santo Domingo Softball Series players will join teams from the United States and the Dominican Republic from August 1 to August 8*, as they compete in the Dominican Republic Tournament. The ages are as follows: 11-12, 13-14, 15-16, and 17-19.

While sports might be on the minds of the youths participating in tournaments in the Dominican Republic, there are also opportunities for sightseeing around historic and natural landmarks around Santo Domingo.

The following is a tentative schedule for the Santo Domingo Softball Series*.

Wednesday August 1
Traveling to the Dominican Republic 

Thursday August 2
Opening Ceremonies 
2 Games: One in the morning, one in the afternoon

Friday August 3
2 Games: One in the morning, one in the afternoon. 
Sightseeing between games; also dinner and disco.

Saturday August 4
Semifinals in the morning.  Finals in the afternoon. 

Sunday August 5
Baseball clinic will be conducted by one of the major league organizations in the Dominican Republic.

Monday August 6
Rest and relaxation; awards banquet in the evening.

Tuesday August 7
Sightseeing.

Wednesday August 8
Teams will depart during the afternoon.
